I can't really explain it very well, but...I don't want to see you get hurt. You know like how a big brother watches their little brother and pounds the shit out of some guy that bugs them? That's how I feel towards you.

You're great at what you do, don't get me wrong. But you need your "big brothers" to step in there to help you once in a while. Reno thinks of you in the same way you know. I'm sure he told you that last night if you were talking to him about it.

We all care about you in our own ways Rufus. We just wish you'd care enough about yourself to help us make things easier for you.

We've done everything we can possibly think of to get you through this slump Shachou and we don't know what do to anymore.

We promised that we'd never leave you and honestly, we never will. But, we can't do everything for you, you have to help us out.


We took care of you after weapon attacked and when you got sick, even when you didn't want any help or when you didn't want to take care of yourself. We're helping you now, even if you don't want it or realize that you do need help.

No Shachou, you don't. Don't talk like that. Ever. At no point would you have been better off dead.

Yes Shachou, we won't leave you and we won't let you go through anything, even things like this that you do to yourself, alone.

If we didn't give a shit about you, we wouldn't have a schedule made up about who's going to be watching you when.

Heh, nice try Shachou. You said you'd tell me after I told you why I stayed so no changing the subject.

You really thought that Shachou?' We could have found new jobs almost right away after you were hurt and in a coma, but we didn't leave you. We wouldn't abondon you, especially the way you were. The thought never even crossed our minds to leave you.

We weren't going to give up on you until the day that the doctor would come and tell us you were dead. Obviously, he never did have to tell us that, so we never moved.

Did you know that Tseng stayed by your bed from the second he was released until the day you woke up? We all took shifts, but Tseng never left. He'd sleep in the other bed in the room but that's as far as he'd go. That's how worried we were about you.

We stayed by your side 8-10 hours at a time watching you in a coma hoping you'd wake up. Trust me, we wouldn't think of doing stuff like that for a paycheck. We could think of much funner things to do instead of that.

Look, I know it should be more an employer/employee relationship, but we've known you since you were a kid so that's never going to apply.

Just accept the fact that you have guards that care about you like family and will do all they can to help you
